2015 was clearly the year for awesome videos. So which videos were most loved by our readers? Come and take a look.
Here at Babyology we love scouring the Internet for clever, funny and heart warming videos that entertain, delight and help us on our parenting journey.
With well over 330,000 views, our post on how to put a baby to sleep (and it doesn’t involve bouncing) is worth its weight in gold! Why? Because it demonstrates a technique to put bub to sleep in 40 seconds and all it involves is a piece of tissue paper. Some of our readers admit it worked while others were left with giggling babies who loved the feel of the paper.
Next we featured a hilarious video on how to make a baby or die trying. This brutally accurate video looks at the wacky world of trying to conceive. And yes, playing Candy Crush while doing the deed happens.
The story of Hunter, who swallowed a lithium battery, reminded parents about the hidden danger lurking inside every home. Battery awareness is so important and this video produced for Australian campaign The Battery Controlled shows us just how damaging swallowing a battery can be for a child.
The 40-second clip made by St John Ambulance in the UK, has also proven invaluable for parents as it clearly outlines how to stop a baby from choking in three simple steps. This is one all parents need to watch. Trust me, it’s not what you would expect.
Next we have a funny parody on four reasons why women should never breastfeed in public, featuring mother of three, Kristina Kuzmic. The battle to normalise breastfeeding takes a hilarious spin with this video.
Our final favourite video of the year comes in the form of a campaign for Pandora jewellery and proves the unshakeable bond between mums and their children. And while it is an advertisement, it’s pretty hard not to tear up with this one. Watch what happens as seven children of different ages are blindfolded and asked to identify their mums simply by touch. Cue the waterworks!
