The only thing more rewarding than a beautifully decorated nursery is said nursery with a sleeping baby in it. We can definitely help you with the first part of the mission with this eclectic and character-filled round up of Etsy finds for the nursery.

In true Etsy style, the options for wall art are endlessly endearing and exciting. Paper and Pickles is an Etsy store based in Melbourne. Specialising in monochrome superhero prints with a difference, these prints will work with any colour scheme and add a bit of cheeky fun to your nursery decor (pictured at top). All prints are priced between $20 and $25 for A4 size and larger A3 prints are also available.

Greatest adventure

Another fantastic find for nursery art is the amazing range of typography printables from Zoom Boone Creations. Right on trend with the most contemporary home decorating styles, the addition of a heartfelt message makes these printables perfect in a baby’s room. Instantly download your favourite print (there are more than 170 to choose from) for only $7.

When it comes to nursery organisation, this Blue Elephant fabric basket from No Longer Blue is versatile, functional and uber cute. Measuring 19cmx19cm, this storage solution is perfect for nappies, toys, books and more. Made right here in Sydney, the Blue Elephant fabric basket costs $34 and there are other designs to choose from.

Even if you haven’t thought of it, chances are, there is someone on Etsy who has. These custom baby closet dividers by Gina Marie Originals are an Etsy phenomenon and an adorable way to organise the closet. I love these pink and gold organisers in dots and chevrons but there are plenty more to choose from in girl, boy and unisex designs. Prices start at $21 and some of the designs have divider sets that keep clothes organised up to six years of age.

A Continual Lullaby_6

Instil a love of reading from an early age with a storytelling mobile of your favourite childhood story. With lots of options like Where the Wild Things Are, Peter Rabbit and Charlotte’s Web, these beautifully designed, hand-made mobiles from A Continual Lullaby have to be seen to be believed. Priced from $154, these mobiles are sure to become heirloom pieces in the nursery.

Cloud Lights Night

Light the nursery with these incredible cloud lights from Lil Spaces. More than just a practical light source, these stunners will add the requisite bit of dreaminess and originality to your baby’s bedroom. Made to order, they come in two sizes and are priced from $99.

Apple Pear shelf

Perfect for holding special treasures, the Little Apple Shelf from Red Hand Gang is their latest offering in long list of crazy cool, hand-made products for kids. Along with the Little Pear Shelf, they are available in natural or black and cost $27. Whatever you do, don’t check out before investigating their clothes hangers and hooks as well.

There are a million-and-one options when it comes to toys for the nursery but not so many that compare with this timeless teddy bear. Each Dear Ones Bear is made to order so they come with their own personality and character. They cost $99 and you can choose from four natural colours, including oatmeal wool, light grey flannel, cream wool and medium grey wool.

Etsy is a fantastic source of original bedding fabrics and concepts and this cot quilt featuring a hand screen printed and hand-lettered quote from children’s classic, Peter Pan, is truly one of a kind. Made by I Screen You Screen from eco-friendly, 100 per cent cotton with hypo-allergenic fill, this quilt costs $143 and larger sizes are available.

Available for bassinets and cots, a fitted sheet from Kitty and Zac, will immediately add a touch of modern colour to your nursery. vintage lace teepee

Now here’s a little bonus to leave you with; as I was searching around the Kitty and Zac’s Etsy store, I stumbled across some adorable teepees and this one, constructed from vintage lace, is unlike any I’ve seen before. Wouldn’t it be the perfect finishing touch in a baby girl’s nursery? Sweet, special and whimsical this teepee costs $160.
