In my house, there are three children who would love to be frequent flyers. There’s just something about going on a plane, isn’t there? Even after lots of trips, it’s still exciting and special, and it’s great to have a way to record all those memories.

I have never taken small children on a long haul flight, and I’ve hardly taken them on many short flights either. But there are plenty of people who need to take their kids on planes reasonably often, and the Simply for Flying logbook is designed for everyone who wants to keep a record of where their kids have flown and why.

Australian mum Bronwyn Darnoc, who created the Simply for Flying logbook, wanted to have a record for her children of all the special trips they had made – especially since these days you often don’t even get a stamp in your passport when you enter another country, particularly if you have dual citizenship.

There’s plenty of room for little travellers to record their thoughts and pictures, but the really special part is the bit you get the cabin crew to fill in. There’s space for details about the plane, the destination and route, but perhaps most importantly – for the captain and crew to write your child a special message and sign the logbook.

You can buy the logbooks online at Simply for Flying, for $19.95 each.
