New mid-century kids bedroom furniture collection from DwellStudio

Sometimes you can browse furniture for ages before something grabs your attention and makes you think of home. Not this time though. One look at the photos of DwellStudio’s new mid-century collection of furniture for kids and you’re already mentally selling their old bedroom furniture online.

I’m always drawn to bunk beds, maybe because my husband wants a gazillion kids (and I wonder where we’d fit them) or maybe because they make bedtime fun. Either way, the Mid-Century Library Bunk Bed is my favourite of the new mid-century collection by far. The bookshelf on the end is such a practical – and great looking – use of space. And it has open shelves and sliding doors so you can also use it for storing other items. Many great things come with a price though and this one is US$1799.

DwellStudio Mid Century Desk

The French white Mid-Century Desk is also a stunner. It has a super classic feel about it – particularly if you buy it as a set with the chair – and its storage hutch up top blends in beautifully. The tapered legs give it a timeless look yet it has an already installed power strip (with USB ports), which offers modern practicality. You can buy the desk for US$699 and the chair for US$149.

DwellStudio Mid Century Full Bed

I’ll mention one more favourite and then you can take a look at the full range yourself. The Mid-Century Full Bed (available for US$650) has an absolutely gorgeous curved headboard with a sleek narrow panel at each end, giving the bed a lovely grand feel. Match it with the desk mentioned above and you have a great little oasis for you child to hang out or study in.

Unfortunately, it’ll take a little extra effort to get items of the mid-century furniture ranged delivered to Australia. You’ll need to contact DwellStudio with a link to the product/s you’re after and your delivery address. But I’m sure it’ll be well worth it in the end!

While you’re waiting, take a browse through our archives for more furniture, bedding and even stationery from DwellStudio. You’ll soon see why they’re a favourite of ours.
