Kids’ chairs – everybody will love this little nobody!

I knew these chairs looked a little familiar, and any long-term owner of hatchback cars may feel the same inkling of recognition. It turns out these cute Nobody Chairs are made from recycled plastic bottles using the same machines that make the back shelves in car boots.

Made for high-end furniture company Hay, by Danish design team Komplot, the bottles are made into industrial felt and then heated whilst in the mould – a one-step process resulting in an all-textile chair. Quite remarkable!

It’s available in two sizes, with the smallest called the ‘Little Nobody’. This is a piece of furniture that won’t endanger the kids, with its rounded and textile-padded edges. I can see the kids happily hiding in those cosy cubby-holes under the chairs.

The Little Nobody is kr1599 ($275) and the large Nobody chair is kr2549 ($438) pus shipping, from Hay.
