Flexa cots, bunks and children’s furniture – simple, stylish, Scandinavian

There is a reason that Scandinavian style has been coveted for so long, and quite simply, it is because it is gorgeous. Here at Babyology we have long been fans of Scandi styling for nurseries and here is another range to tantalise your nursery-styling tastebuds

Flexa is a Danish design company which specialises in baby and kids’ furniture. Established in 1972, they are not a new kid on the block, and with years of nursery styling behind them, you can be assured of not only stylish, quality furniture, but also of furniture that is actively designed with children and their needs in mind.

Take a look, for example, at their baby cot bed. A unique five-in-one design takes your little one from newborn to school age. My favourite part about this has to be the first stage of the toddler bed, where just a few bars are removed so your little one can safely climb in and out, but not fall out of the bed.

Equally as stylish and functional is the high chair. Made from an easy clean plastic seat and beech legs, it  serves children from when they start solids up until primary school and beyond. As an added bonus, its sleek styling will look at home with your existing decor.

Flexa also make a range of single beds, bunk and loft beds that will have you drooling and wishing for a local stockist. Take a look and you’ll see what we mean.

Unfortunately, Flexa furniture is not available in Australia, so for the time being all we can do is drool over their lovely designs. In the meantime, you can check out our post on Design Stuff for lovely Scandi goodies that can be bought here.

Libby lives in Sydney with her husband, three children (plus one on the way) and dog. In a former life, she was a high school English and history teacher who loved going out for breakfast and spending holidays reading book after book. These days, Libby spends her time kid-wrangling, catching quiet moments with a coffee, trying to avoid taking the kids to the shops and, when time allows, getting lost in a good book or a spot of crochet.
