Designer curves

If ordinary bookshelves are just a little too ‘straight’ for you, add some curves to your library with the amazing Vjunok series of modular ‘scaffolding’ by Russian interior designer Maria Yasko.

Too lovely to load with books and trinkets, these shelves are more like interior sculptures, and the use of colour and murals add to the effect. The shelves are made of Corian – a solid, acrylic resin that is strong and durable.

The beautiful Icelandic Tree would be perfect (and practical) in a child’s room. But these shelves would also be fantastic in the room of an older child or teenager as they offer a designer edge without being over the top.

Alas, at this stage Vjunok shelves are just for looking at as they are yet to be in commercial production. Nevertheless, they certainly change the way you’ll look at shelves.
