A WHITE sofa?! Kourtney Kardashian shows off her kids’ tech-free $20K playhouse

It’s fair to say that Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s kids’ playhouse is nicer than the apartments of most people we know.

White on white

The Keeping up with the Kardashians star took cameras through the kids’ play pad for Architectural Digest’s Open Door video series, and we’re feeling really inadequate about our own homes after seeing it. (Scroll down to watch.)

The couple are separated parents to nine-year-old Mason, seven-year-old Penelope and four-year-old Reign, and they’ve made a special place for them all to chill out.

It’s pretty much a tiny home, sitting on the lawn in Kourt’s backyard and we have to say it looks utterly gorgeous from the outside. Inside, the very tidy playhouse is dotted with a small selection of carefully curated toys, furnishings and books.

What we can’t say is that it’s all totally kid-centred, but it’s still very nice and we’re quite keen to move in. And look, perhaps we underestimate what kids are into? Maybe they want white walls, white furniture, white rugs and white pillows in their play space?

Nine years in the making

Indecisive Kourtney says she’d been compiling ideas for a kids’ space for around nine years, but Scott ended up stepping in to get the job done.

The pair have declared the playhouse a technology-free zone, noting they have “a lot of books” instead.

Kourtney says she and Scott chose this little house so that it would complement the main home, and the family designed the whole thing themselves, apparently.

They “even let the kids chime in a bit and give some of their opinions about some of the details.”

Hmmmm. Oka-ayyyyyy.

Kourtney’s playhouse?

And while Kourt had the best intentions, hoping that her kids would play together in their new space, she admits that …. they’re not keen. Instead, they tend to spend time away from one another in their new pad.

“I would love for them to all hang out in here together but currently they don’t,” she says.

“They’ll come in here separately, I’ve found the most. Penelope will come in here with her friends, and I think the ‘no technology’ is a turn-off for Mason.”

“My wish list is just coming in here more and spending time in here because it’s so cute. I think I’m gonna come escape in here and start reading books and I’m not even gonna tell anyone where I went!”

Um. No.

People on YouTube were pretty merciless in their judgement of this little home away from home.

“Ok kids and white rugs and pillows and sofa? What’s that! Way too clean and organised kids aren’t playing in there,” one commenter asserted.

“I bet the kids NEVER play in that room. It’s just for the show. It has boring toys that are just used as decorations. White interiors with a white rug and white furniture? Definitely not kid friendly,” one gent wrote.

“So…. she spent all that money to build an outdoor closet?” a commenter observed.

“This is where Mason is gonna smoke weed with his friends when he is older lol,” someone else joked.
