Attention parents of pre-schoolers – there’s a new show coming to ABC Kids and if your kids are transportation-obsessed, then this one is not to be missed! Bubble Bath Bay, set in Sydney Harbour, is sailing into living rooms across Australia on Monday, 9 March 2015.
Bubble Bath Bay is the newest addition to the new look ABC Kids and it looks to be a good one. We’ve got talking boats; we’ve got a beautiful sunny location; we’ve got ocean adventures; we’ve got Aussie voiced actors – what’s not to love?
Bubble Bath Bay takes children on a high sea adventure as a colourful cast of talking boats take to the waters of Bubble Bath Bay. The show follows two main boats, Sydney the Sailboat and Zip the Water Taxi, and their adventures with various boat, trawler and tug friends. The show focuses on important themes for children such as friendship, helping those in need and adventure.
One of the things we are most looking forward to is the true blue Aussie feel of Bubble Bath Bay. The main cast are voiced in Australia, including popular actor Colin Friels as the voice of Terry the Tug, while the set of Bubble Bath Bay is modelled on our very own Sydney Harbour. Bubble Bath Bay will leave kids (and adults) feeling right at home.
ABC Producer Carmel Travers tells us it’s “Thomas the Tank Engine on water”. That’s good enough reason for us to get the kids to take a look. It will air weekdays on ABC Kids at 7:40am starting tomorrow (March 9) and is aimed at preschool children aged three to five. You can also catch it on the new ABC Kids iview for iPad.
