Some people appear to have much more than their fair share of the genius gene, and Lani Small of Malt Maternity is obviously one of them. Not that we’re jealous …
Snuggly AND stylish
… Rather, we’re terribly grateful because Lani is using her superpowers for good — and reaching out to overwhelmed new mums in the process. Lani’s a mum herself, so she’s totally familiar with the very real struggle that keeping it together can be.
Her clever Malt Maternity range is designed with a refreshingly realistic view of parenting in mind. These cute nightgowns are comfy enough to snuggle down in at bedtime, and if you’ve had a rough night with your baby and still need to do the school run or answer the door to the postie, they’re cute enough to pass as daywear too!
Night to day
The Night to Day range can be worn during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. Garments are designed to keep breasts supported and are also completely breastfeeding-friendly.
“I started the business when my son never slept, and I spent most of my time in pajamas,” Lani explains. When she tried to find comfy but stylish garments that would go from night to day, she kept comping up empty-handed.
“My mum suggested I just make some,” Lani said, so she did. She now runs Malt Maternity alongside that very same mum!
“No one will know you’re still in your pajamas”
Lani’s designs combine on-trend prints with practical fabrics and styles, making them perfect for couch-side feeding sessions OR a trip to the kinder gate.
“Grab you sunnies and shoes and no one will know that you are wearing pajamas,” Lani confirms.
Her nightgown to day dresses come in four different print and colour combinations. They retail for $89 and are available in sizes from S through to XXL.
Malt Maternity also has Afterpay available, in case you want to spread the cost over a couple of months. Orders over $150 are eligible for free shipping, so that’s a nice little bonus!
