If you’re a children’s label keen to grow a global audience, you head straight to one of the world’s biggest trade shows, Playtime Tokyo. It showcases some of the best children’s brands from Japan and around the world. But you don’t have to jump on a plane to see some of the cool exhibitors – we have a snapshot to show you right here.
First comes Alohaloha Little Shop’s ridiculously cute candy bloomers (pictured above). There’s not much I can say about these because the picture has stolen the show already with its cuteness! Alohaloha is a local Tokyo label and certainly sets the scene for an amazing trade show.
Oeuf is a children’s clothing and furniture brand from America which is a favourite of ours here at Babyology. Its newest collection of vegetable and animal clothing, made from alpaca wool, is just adorable. The magnificent eggplant suit is pictured below.
Kinderspel, which means “children’s play” in German, showcased its striking range of accessories and we’re guessing it caught the attention of plenty of traders. The label creates gorgeous dresses, scarfs, headbands, bonnets and bags – each available in heaps of fun and colourful designs.
Now for a truly unique clothing and decor range from Belgium, Lion Of Leisure., It has hand-printed lions, crocodiles, elephants, monkey, giraffe’s and much more on kids clothing and cuddle cushions. In fact, you name the animal and they probably have a t-shirt or pillow for it.
Hailing from Japan, Asuka Koubou makes incredible wooden toys and dinner accessories. What started as a rocking horse business has become a business filled with quality, beautiful wooden products in a range of forms.
Now here’s something very familiar! We can’t finish up without mentioning this divine Australian label which made the trip over to Tokyo. Tutu Du Monde, inspired by the ethereal charm of ballet costumes, makes dresses that are, quite simply, stunning.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this little taste of Playtime Tokyo.
