Kukukid – superhero clothing for your cute cute kids

One battle that you are sure to have at some stage or another with your kids is about the appropriateness of wearing dress ups out of the house. Sure, for a trip to the shops a superhero outfit may be totally fine, but it’s a different matter if your child’s preschool has a ‘no dress ups’ rule, for instance. Fortunately, we have found a solution.

Polish brand Kukukid has released its latest super offering, and this season, it’s heroic. They have created two cartoon superheros: Brave Beaver and Superbear, and their cute faces are printed on all manner of T-shirts, pants, rompers and dresses. Kukukid’s inspiration comes from their slogan “We’re rebel, but cute”, and the great choice of colours and shapes in their latest selection fits that brief.

Kukukid has superhero style clothes for newborn babies right up to kids of eight years old. For babies, there’s the very cool romper dinosaur styled romper. Available in ‘Superbear’, ‘Brave Beaver’ and ‘footprint’ (a more subtle print) designs, it has a snuggly hood and my favourite romper innovation: a zip! The Kukukid romper is $89.95 and available up to size 24 months.

For those of you, like me, with daughters who refuse to wear anything but dresses and skirts, Kukukid has them covered as well. All three prints are available in both a dress and a skirt: each with enough ‘swish’ built in for superhero twirling. The dress is  $69.95 and the skirt is $49.95 and available in sizes 1-2 up to 7-8.

A great selection of Kukukid is available locally from A Little Bit Of Cheek.

In a former life, she was a high school English and history teacher who loved going out for breakfast and spending holidays reading book after book.
