At the heart of every kid, even the demure princess-loving ones, is a little wild thing, and little wild things need clothes that can keep up with their unstoppable antics. Lucky for everyone, Sydney designer Really Wild Child is up for the challenge.

Really Wild Child is new to the scene, presenting its inaugural range of t-shirts ($35) screen-printed with the sometimes growling, sometimes grinning faces of wild animals.

The colours are bright and the prints fierce. There are shark jaws with rows of pointed teeth on a deep sea blue shirt, whiskered seals, cuddly koalas on soft grey marle, and crocodiles with long snouts, ready to snap. T-shirts are a wardrobe staple for kids, and it’s good to find some that are a bit different.

The tees by Really Wild Child don’t just look good, they feel good too. Shirts for infants are made from 190 GSM, 100 per cent cotton, and for kids, 180 GSM. For the uninitiated, that fabric weight is the creme de la creme for t-shirt cotton, which means it’s super soft and durable.

We love Really Wild Child’s design aesthetic and branding. From the claw slashes of the logo to the hilarious descriptions for each shirt, this is a brand with cheek and spirit. We can’t wait to see what they have planned for their next collection.
