When originality is paramount but comfort can’t be ignored, a children’s t-shirt from Graniph is sure to fit the bill.
Graniph is an exciting young company that strives to make art wearable by collaborating with top artists, graphic designers and illustrators around the world. You really need to wander around their website to fully appreciate what they are doing.
The most recent children’s t-shirt collaboration is with Japanese artists Tupera Tupera. Since 2002, husband and wife duo Nakagawa Atsuko and Kameyama Tatsuya have specialised in illustrating picture books, design and art direction, animation and also have their own label products. They are known for their artful and funny picture books including “Kao Noto” whose sun face illustration is a featured image in their t-shirt collection for Graniph.
Even if you aren’t familiar with the artists, these bright and quirky images spell fun and they definitely invite a sense of humour into your child’s everyday wardrobe. They are printed on high quality shirts that are hard wearing and can be thrown in the wash. See the lookbook for the full Tupera Tupera collection of tees, vests, hoodies and more for children and adults.
While you’re on the site, be sure to check out some of the other unique shirts in the Graniph kids gallery for collaborations with big names like Eric Carle and Where’s Wally?.
