We’ve loved Playtime Tokyo, not only for its brilliant children’s fashion, but for the eclectic mix of everything in the realm of children – including toys, décor and feeding. Come and take a look at what we found at the latest show, which wound up on August 28.
The paediatrician-developed Betta baby bottles attracted plenty of interest at Playtime Tokyo. Their unique curve and shape is designed to create the same posture as breastfeeding, in a bid to encourage strong feeding.
While certainly not a new kid on the block, Anna Lou Of London had some gorgeous new handmade accessories on show.
Fun French children’s apparel from Blue Poppies was eye-catching for its beauty, and for its creativity – with designs able to be customised.
There was no shortage of gorgeous textiles on offer, Dashwood Studio was a stand-out. Created by Brit David Sweet, the collection of fabrics will no doubt be gracing some of the most sought-after nursery items in the coming year.
Fashion princesses need look no further than Dolly by Le Petit Tom, which has the most amazing lady-like dresses for girls.
Fancy That Hat had a bright and bold display of their sun-smart hats, aimed at ticking the fashion and sun safe boxes.
Gu-Pa not only designs gorgeous nursery décor, but the wall art comes in kit form, so you can pretend you’re the genius behind these amazing paper and cardboard creations!
Finally, to end on a fun note, what better way to get kids to eat their vegetables that to give them some to play with. MyuM’s brilliant collection of animal critters certainly put smiles on many a face at Playtime Tokyo.
