Don’t distress – little people can get their urban groove on with Stok Denim

I’m pretty sure I could live in denim – it’s durable, comfortable, super easy to care for and it only gets better with age. It is actually the perfect material for kids and Stok Denim knows it; they’ve just taken it one step further and added that enigmatic cool factor.

Canberra mum, Coby Stokman, used to alter, distress and dye all her son’s denim to give it a raw and authentic look. After lots of positive feedback and requests she soon realised there was a market for this more modern style and Stok Denim was launched in October last year. Currently producing quality, fashionable denim shorts, tanks, tees and hats for kids in size 0-4, they are looking to expand up to size 10 for their upcoming winter collection.

The denim shorts come in two different styles, the rolled cuff in dark blue and light blue and the distressed shorts in black and light blue, all for $45. They are made from 100 per cent cotton with personalised embellishments, inner adjustable waists and they are suitable for both boys and girls.

I love a little tyke in a flat brim hat and the Stok Denim flat brim hat has a matching one for mum or dad – winning! Both the adult and toddler size are priced at $25, and have a snapback for adjusting to ensure a snug fit.

Specially designed to be long and a little baggy, the Stok Denim singlets ($30) and tees ($32) ooze comfort and style. These premium basics are made from a luxurious blend of bamboo and spandex to ensure they are super soft and breathable. The singlet sleeves have a raw edge while the tees have a rolled cuff and both styles are available in black, grey and white.
