Babyglow – an easy way to prevent overheating

babyglow-1

One of the most difficult things for parents of young infants is knowing when their baby is too hot. Too often we’re told to throw on an extra blanket, or to put on a hat or socks, but we really have no way of knowing just how warm our baby really is – short of carrying a thermometer in your pocket.

It’s also similar with illness – we don’t see baby’s body heating up until it’s already too hot and fever has set in. The introduction of Baby Glow growsuits is such a brilliant idea, especially for nervous first time parents, as it gives a visual aid from baby to parent.

Available in three colours – pink, blue or green – it works as follows: when baby gets too hot and her body temperature rises above normal (thirty seven degrees celsius), the growsuit turns to white. So simple and easy, no bells, whistles or alarms – you can go about your usual business and just keep an eye on your baby’s outfit!
