What are all the really cool kids wearing this summer? Something from A Little Pocket, for sure.
Pure inner city hip (only without the beards and overwhelming sense of irony), this new collection from young designer Laura Natale is just the thing for the Mini Microscooter set.
I could say so much about these made-in-Melbourne fashions from A Little Pocket, but I think the best way is to let the blow-your-mind designs speak for themselves, starting with the brilliantly red Sway with Me dress (above right, $54.95) from the girls’ collection. Wear it as an above-the-knee dress this summer and next summer, when your child is taller, it can have another outing as a tunic paired with leggings. Either way, a dress this stunning deserves to be worn for more than one season.
The Nic Nac skirt ($44.94) is just as eye-catching and certain to be a stand-out in the playground or at the farmer’s market. It’s seen here with the Bright Eyes tee ($39.95), a rather lovely crushed cotton and lace combo. Now I’m not sure how anyone can resist dressing their girl in the Moss dress ($54.95), paired below with the eye-catching turquoise Little O Leggings.
A Little Pockets does boys’ fashion with just as much vive. This summer boys can be cool in the most fantastical bunch of shorts and tees we’ve seen yet, from the awesome stripes of the aptly named Dr Suess tee ($34.95, paired above left with the Midnight shorts) to the monochrome Coconut tee and its colour-soaked siblings. Now here’s another little fact that’ll make your eyes glow – Laura designs most of the tees and shirts to be deliberately unisex, so the girls can wear them too.
