Want your little ones along on your next bike ride? If you want a stylish, functional and stable seat for your precious cargo then you need to check out Dutch brand Yepp, which counts celeb-mum Jennifer Garner as a fan.
Yepp’s range of baby/child seats that have developed something of a cult following and won a heap of awards for their design, internationally and in their native Holland. And if the Dutch love of all things cycling-related is anything to go on – there are more bicycles than people in the Netherlands – one can only presume they take their bike seats pretty seriously too.
So, what are they made from? Yepp are made from a durable rubber/foam – EVA polymer if you want to get technical, that is shockproof and waterproof.
The range consists of three models. Yepp Mini is a front-mounted carrier ($199) for bubs and kids nine months to three years (9 – 15 kg), while the Yepp Maxi EasyFit ($219) and Yepp Maxi Rear Seat ($249) both mount to your rear carrier or bike frame, and are suitable for children from one to six years (9 – 22 kg).
Each seat in the range meets European safety standard EN 14344, and have five-point belt system, including foot straps.
