It can be so hard to know what your baby is going through when they’re unwell, and even harder for them to tell you!

If your baby is fighting an infection like a cold, or has an injury or allergy, their lymph nodes (also called lymph glands) may be swollen.

The lymph nodes are part of the immune and circulatory system, helping to stave off infection and keep us well.

There are hundreds and hundreds of lymph nodes throughout the body in areas like the neck, armpit, groin and head.

NB: If your baby has no other symptoms apart from swollen lymph nodes, pop along to the doctor for a quick check-up.
