Last month we found out about these Contigo drink bottles for kids and we had so many responses to this product, I wanted to know what all the fuss was about.
I was lucky enough to find a few of these colourful Contigo drink bottles in my PO Box last week and thought `how good can a drink bottle really be? Aren’t they all the same and don’t they all leak from time to time?’.
The Contigo Kids Cup are a really unique design with no valves or straws to get mouldy and an ‘Autoseal’ button which means no spills.
Although my two and three-year-old daughters have really been trying hard to prove me wrong on the spill-factor, we’ve yet to have any leakage. I wasn’t sure what the ‘Autoseal’ button was all about at first but the girls find it easy to press the button on the side of the bottle to open the seal and drink, then when they take their finger off the button it closes water tight. Even my two-year-old can reach the button and drink comfortably.
If I have one complaint about this product it is the 250ml capacity. My girls love drinking from these bottles so much that they always seem to be empty and asking for more refills. Also, not a great gift for the toilet training age. I think this has set my two-year-old back a little since she is drinking so much water now, we are having a lot of accidents!
The Contigo Kids Cup is available locally at Bonito Baby for $11.95 plus delivery.
Looking at the website, it might just be my turn to try one of these bottles from the adult range.
