Chrissy Teigen jokes society is “body shaming” her tiny baby

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s new baby, Miles, was born three weeks early, and the Lip Sync Battle host admits this comes with some challenges.

“Body shaming!”

Miles arrived on 16 May, and Chrissy announced him with a jubilant “Somebody’s herrrrrrre!” on Twitter.

She’s been updating followers with news of their newly expanded family ever since, and the latest chatter has revealed not only his birthweight (4.5 pounds) but that he’s pretty much got absolutely nothing to wear.

“Nothing fits my teenie premie,” Chrissy tweeted overnight, “not enough stuff out there! I gotta learn to sew. Miles is tired of your body shaming, society!”

Followers were quick to sympathetically chime in with advice and ideas on dressing Miles, supporting his right to be tiny and suggesting lots of brands that cater to very small or premmie babies – and some other fixes.

US company Carter’s said a package for Miles was on the way, former Sex and the City star Kristen Davis said she’d DM Chrissy with a solution and another brilliant Kristen – comedian Kristen Schaal – figured it was an ideal time to bust out Flight of the Conchord’s track Hurt Feelings (which features some heartfelt lyrics about small men and women’s wetsuits and a gent’s right to be tiny.)

“My nugget”

Young Miles was born at 37 weeks – obviously ahead of his due date – and Chrissy admits he’s a weeny “nugget”.

Sharing the first photo of her son around ten days ago, Chrissy revealed the family were living for his adorable newborn snuffles – and also his Miles Davis’ inspired name.

“Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens,” she posted on Instagram. “We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles. Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!”

Luna’s “dancing harder”

John and Chrissy are now parents to two adorable kids. Their daughter Luna is two years old, celebrating her birthday a month before her baby brother’s arrival.

Chrissy’s shared some snippets of Luna getting to know her baby brother and although she admitted she was a little nervous about this, back when she was pregnant, it’s looking like everything is actually going swimmingly – although Luna’s working hard to stay relevant!

“[Luna’s] used to having us to herself,” John recently told People Magazine. “I think she’s just starting to realise though that he might be competition. So in some ways it’s good because she’s stepping her game up. She’s being more loving, she’s singing louder, and dancing harder. She’s making sure we don’t stop paying attention to her.”

Here’s a slightly gratuitous picture of young Luna doing her Big Sister thing …
