A photoshoot for a new baby got the woodland stamp of approval when Bambi arrived and did the sweetest – and totally appropriate – photobomb.
Photographer Megan Rion of Imagine That Photography was taking photos of one-month-old baby Connor, sleeping on a haystack surrounded by pumpkins at Louisiana’s Sam Houston Jones State Park. A deer – known as Maggie – stopped by and made the beautiful set look dreamily perfect.
Footage of the welcome visitor was filmed by Connor’s mum, Tiffany Gill Rogers, and uploaded to YouTube, so far clocking up 385,000 views.
Megan recognised the deer, who is known to locals since being rescued and dropped off in the park as a fawn.
“Maggie lives in the woods and is known to show up during photo shoots,” Megan tells Yahoo Parenting. “She has a reputation for it and parents even request that she come to shoots, but I let them know there’s no guarantee.”
Maggie – lured into the shot with an ear of corn – is just one of the deer that roam in the park, along with raccoons, who often score some time in front of the camera.
You can watch the deer approach baby Connor here:
“Maggie was hand-fed as a baby, so she’s very comfortable with people,” says Megan. “But I always make sure that we have one hand right near the baby, because she is a wild animal.”
