A few weeks into parenthood with our first child, my partner and I realised that all we ever talked about was the baby. All we had time for was debriefing on what our daughter had been up to that day, and we had lost those fun conversations that kept us connected. The Baby Connect app changed that.
Baby Connect is a baby tracking app where you manually enter your child’s data to keep a record of their daily activities. You can have multiple accounts linked to one baby’s profile meaning grandparents, child care centres, or doctors can easily enter data from their own mobile device or online.
The best part of Baby Connect is the automatic syncing which means no more need for debriefing. Just open your app and see at a glance when baby was last fed, changed, or how long they slept. Click on different view options to see bub’s day displayed in different graphs so you can better identify patterns or irregularities. This is especially helpful for parents trying to set a daily schedule or regular sleep times.
You choose how much data you enter into the app and what personal information you include. It can be as simple as tracking those first lot of nappy changes and feeds or you can create a more textured data set by including your child’s moods, milestones, and even adding photos. This app is highly customisable, allowing you to add new categories and rearrange the homepage to suit your needs and aesthetic preferences.
This is easily the most useful parenting app I have come across and I recommend it to every new parent I meet. In our home, it meant that those fleeting moments we had together as new parents could now be focused on each other rather than reciting the minutiae of our day. And the first time our daughter fell sick we didn’t struggle to recall what she had done over the past few days that might have affected her health, we simply showed her doctor the data. Such a relief.
You can download Baby Connect app to your mobile device for just $5.49 or use the web application for free.
