Via Alley of Surry Hills in Sydney has some seriously sublime toy finds on their website. I’m not one to keep up on all the latest toy trends in the large department stores, however I do like finding stimulating toys with a whimsical flair. Stuff that not everyone will have in their toy box.

The toy collection at Via Alley is varied but all of it is very interesting. Their plush toys include Malfis ($65) from the Friends With You company (our spotted friend pictured above is named Super Malfi). Malfis are ‘magical spirits that are guaranteed to bring magic and mystery’ into your child’s world. The little pink guy with red legs (Bubble Grump $65) pictured below is part of The Burger Bunch, also from Friends With You. The Burger Bunch consists of seven dolls ready to take on any adventure and Bubble Grump is the wildest of them all.

The vinyl toy collection is chock full of desirable, creative and limited edition playthings. My fave is the 400 per cent Classic Mickey Mouse figurine ($160). Originally available in a smaller ’100 per cent’ version from the brand Medicom, this retro and happy Mickey Mouse is a gorgeous companion for any boy or girl. I know my daughter would go nuts over him as she thinks she’s Mickey Mouse’s number one fan.
