Here’s a smartphone you won’t hesitate in handing to your child.
If you love wooden minimalist toys as much as we do at Babyology, you’ll love this clever marriage between timber and technology. Donkey Products has launched two beautifully crafted toys that mimic a smartphone and laptop, without any of the concerns of having little fingers accidentally purchasing apps, or deleting work.

The i-Woody My First Smartphone looks just like the real thing, but it’s crafted from wood. The “screen” is chalkboard, which can be drawn on and wiped clean. This cool little unit also comes with sponge earphones.

The i-Woody My First Laptop has just as much street cred, with its sleek wooden looks. It folds up just like the real thing, and also has a chalkboard. Both the smartphone and laptop are recommended for children over the age of three. The i-Woody smartphone is $24.95, and the laptop is $69.95, and they’ll be available locally from Until in July.

I agree, they are cute, but wouldn’t deter my son from trying to unlock my phone or from jumping on the laptop to take millions of photos of himself with photo booth..kids just aren’t tricked that easily.. haha.. wish they were!!
they look great but my 4yr old has an ipad (due to special needs, and the government paid for it) and there is no way he or his 2yr old brother would go for it and I’m sorry but at $70 neither would I
Cute and warm products. We love innovative ideas. What a great way to present drawing toys/tools. If they were used as substitutes for the real thing, we would have to agree that kids are not fooled so easily.
