SlideRider – creating a stairway to indoor play heaven
If the slip ‘n’ slide and the neighbourhood park had a love child, this would be it. Guaranteed to make rainy days so much less dreary, if you have a house with stairs, your kids will be begging you for one of these.
Essentially a set of folding mats, the SlideRider can magic a set of ordinary stairs into an indoor slide. Pretty cool.
We know kids are incredibly adept when it comes to creating indoor play spaces, and since the dawn of time they’ve been transforming all manner of household items/furniture/anything-they-can-get-their-hands-on, into playthings. American Trisha Cleveland is trying to do the same thing, but as an adult, through Quirky.
In the interests of safety the SlideRider has bumpers along the sides, but there doesn’t seem to be much information about what the slide would actually be made from.
The design of the slide is all but locked in, but that’s just the beginning. We will let you know if and when the SlideRider actually enters into manufacturing.
