A reader has asked for help finding toy storage that’s kinder to the planet. Can you help?
Kathryn makes a very good point – so many storage options aren’t so great for the environment. How can parents make smarter choices about the containers we buy to store all those toys in?
We wrote about the very fabulous Pomdrums which have been a hit with the Babyology team and our readers alike. There is also the Oeuf Toy Store which is a stunning piece of furniture for this purpose.
We thought we’d turn it over to you for some more suggestions. We invite everybody to contribute ideas – we’re sure our readers are in the know! Leave your comments below.

I bought a set of 3 storage boxes that can also be used as seats form Black Eyed Peas made from recycled cardboard. They can hold up to 50kg. They look cute and the kids love sititng, climbing and stacking them
Hi there! I agree with Kathryn about the small amount of
choices available when trying to find enviro friendly Children’s
Toy Storage. On top of that, finding affordable storage is just as
difficult. This is a quick note though to let you all know that we
are working on it here at mor-stor! We hope to bring you our range
of plain and printed enviro friendly toy storage by mid July 2011.
What we have in development are a range of dyes that don’t affect
the water streams after printing and dyes are flushed through the
drains. Will keep you posted as soon as they are available! Thanks,
Fatima
We have bought some of the POMDRUMs, as shown in your article and they are great, they are recycled from local industry and come in a number of different designs and colours. We had our little ones names put on them and they look great.
they’ve taken a bit of a beating over the last months, and seem to be standing up to the test of time and grubby fingers…
definitely recommend !!!
Fatima, I was just wondering if Babyology have posted about the new range yet?
Hi Bee,
No not yet, we are still researching and investigating a few options!
Thanks.
No probs, I’ll keep my ears out then ;) Thanks.
