First books for baby: Must-have picture books to add to their collection

Whether you’re still cooking that beautiful bun in your oven, making your way through the bleary-eyed newborn stage, or have an inquisitive toddler you are running around after, there is never a better time than the present to start collecting books they will grow to treasure.

The simple joy of reading to your baby

It is never too early to start fostering a love for books in your offspring. Reading to your baby, watching them engage with the pictures, your voice, and the quality time they spend nestled in your lap is a magical experience. One to be celebrated and enjoyed daily if possible. It is also a great bonding activity for dads to do with their adorable little ones. Which is why we have selected some of our favourite picture books for you to add to their bookshelf, or gift to a soon-to-be first time parent.
