I believe that summer is all about wearing your brightest attire, which means Spanish label Minidunadu is just perfect for the hot months ahead.

There will be loads of fun by the pool or beach in the summer 2013 swimwear collection from Minidunadu. Swimsuits are made to stand out on the beach or by the poolside with their contrasting bold and bright colour with cute ruffle trim details and cut out styles. Boys will be slipping into the water wearing uber cool trunks and board shorts in pattern and prints that scream summer!

This latest Minidunadu collection sees big prints such as gingham making a gorgeous statement in both black and white or orange and white for both the boys and girls. We love being able to let you know what’s coming up the miniature fashion world, so here’s a look at some sensational new seasonal clothing from Barcelona.

We made a beeline for this amazing label at Bubble London, and just knew fellow Babyologists would fall in love with Little Creative Factory as much as we have. This is the third collection from Little Creative Factory, which hails from Spain, and it’s titled Playing Under Construction.

The title of the spring/summer 2013 collection is a play on words – with the founders of the label both architects (as well as mothers). They’re big on the importance of play and, in turn, clothes that are easy to play in.

The collection includes some super-styled bathers, in striking bright colours as well as natural tones and black.

The dresses and summer tops are divine – lovely and flowing, while maintaining a structured edge.

The offerings for boys is just as brilliant, with relaxed jeans and plain tees.

Little Creative Factory’s clothing is available for children from three months to eight years. At this stage you’ll need a sojourn to Italy or Spain if you want to get your hands on these beautiful threads – but hopefully it won’t be long before an Australian retailer snaps up this label.

Perhaps you’re jetting off somewhere by the ocean where it’s blissfully hot or maybe you simply want to beat the crowds by securing your maternity swimsuit now rather than at the height of summer, either way – we have you covered!

I am loving all that Séraphine Maternity has to offer in the way of swimwear. I’ve often waxed lyrical of my enthusiasm for all things polka dot and folks, the red Spotted Halterneck Tankini (£49) doesn’t disappoint. Generous wide straps give great support and the bikini brief is cut nicely to sit perfectly under your baby bump. If red isn’t your preferred colour then don’t despair, this style is also available in navy and grey.

For lovers of the one-piece suit, this Essential Black Swimsuit (below, on sale £25)  fits the bill perfectly. The sleek low cut style holds everything in nicely, enhancing your gorgeous curves, with a great bow detail on the bust. Adjustable straps help give a perfectly comfortable fit.

One of the most anticipated events on the trade show calendar has just wrapped, and as usual we are your ticket into this exclusive event, showing the newest international children’s wear labels. Come, see!

You asked us to keep an eye out for stylish boys’ clothing at Playtime Paris, and this fabulous show didn’t disappoint. The utterly stunning That’s Not Fair London is as fresh as it gets – with this brand new label set to hit the stores in August. The collection is packed full of revised classics – like traditional gabardine trench coats and hand knitted pure wool jumpers.

I’m a fan of the edgy fashion of Milibe Copenhagen. This attention-grabbing label caught my eye with its contemporary styling, particularly for boys. And the clothing looks as comfortable as it does stylish.

The “organic movement” was front and centre at Playtime Paris. London-based Aravore has a retro feel, but is still cutting edge – and is hand crafted from organic material.

Likewise, Conscients is all about fun and funk, with organic cotton underpinning the construction of this divine collection.

Here’s an interesting concept from Blune Paris, which was showing for the first time at Playtime. It’s a new twist on the “mini-me” trend, with delicious graphic garments for mothers and babies.

While we’re on the subject of water, there was plenty of buzz for Luca Bynn, with its collection of babies, children and maternity bathing suits.

And finally, something many parents have been waiting for – stylish and comfortable prescription glasses and sunglasses for kids. I take my hat off to the innovative and fabulous Very French Gangsters.

Spanish label MiniDUNADU showcased their brightly coloured swimwear collection. Not just boring pink or blue, the multicolour world of MiniDUNADU is for summers full of adventure of and surprises. Sounds like exactly what I need if only I could get one in my size.

Irish label Wild Honey debuted its colourful casual and occasionwear at Bubble. Designed with fun and comfort in mind, Wild Honey offers something unique for little girls who like their style and want to stand out in a crowd.

Brilliantly creative Spanish label Monstres wowed us with its creative clothes. From tops with elasticated pockets big enough to hold a football or doll for walks to the park to hoodies with dragon scales, these are proper clothes with just the right accents to make them perfect for play and imagination. Seriously cool additions to the wardrobe and the dressing up box.

Verity Jones is a range of gorgeous hairbows and accessories in carefully selected tasteful and contemporary muted colours. Crafted by hand, every Verity Jones bow is a unique creation using only the finest ribbons available.

We adore our PJs and there was a fabulous collection of boys and girls nightwear from Mini Vanilla. In softest cotton, the new range are stylish enough to be worn out of the house too – perfect for our favourite day of the week – PJ day!

US brand Magnificent Baby were debuting the latest in their line of baby clothes with their easy to use Smart Close magnetic fasteners. If you haven’t seen these yet they really are a revelation! Instead of having to keep a crying, wriggling baby still whilst you snap together all those annoying little fasteners on baby clothes, these magnetic fasteners just stick themselves together and you are left with one happy, dressed baby! The new range is little teddy bear style jackets with amazing magnetic stick-on mittens which then adhere to each other to store when removed. So amazingly clever, you’ll wonder why you never thought of it!

Nothing is greater than the feeling of being weightless in water when very, very pregnant. Except being weightless in water and looking great while doing it!

Maternity swimming costumes can be a bit hard to come by, especially when shopping in regular swimwear outlets where the maternity range is almost always dreadfully limited. Best to go straight to a specialist, and Ilant Maternity Swimwear certainly fits the bill.

It’s tricky to pin down what the best thing is about this brand – it’s a toss up for me between the very wide range of designs (not just fashion cossies, but designs for serious swimmers as well) and the broad range of sizes (from eight to twenty, with a few more available by special request). Not only that, but they have separates as well as one pieces, with a selection of designs that aren’t skin tight. So if you’re someone who prefers to feel like not everything is on display, Ilant has you covered (pun intended).

Most swimming costumes are priced around the $110 mark, and they have stockists all over Australia, most of whom have an online presence, so you are sure to be able to track down just what you’re looking for.

We’re counting down the days to London’s premier children’s trade event, and we’re also puffed with pride, as Babyology is sponsoring Bubble London. I’ve had the enviable task of perusing the new exhibitors, so prepare yourself for a visual feast.

I’ll offer up a little advice before I launch into the brilliance that is Bubble London: grab a cuppa and take the time to scroll through this post at your leisure. With more than two hundred and twenty exhibitors, I had a tough time whittling the list down to just a selection of brands new to Bubble London.

Elfie London is an unashamedly eccentric brand, channeling traditional British clothing with a fairytale edge – just stunning.

Designed and made in the UK, Immink is all about relaxed clothing, that’s made to last with jersey and denim. How happy and comfortable does the little cherub in the image above look?!

With influences from Asia, Frocks London takes dresses to the designer level.

Despite its moniker, Loud Apparel is understated yet makes a statement. The garments reflect London design with traditional Italian manufacturing.

I love this label – it puts the fun into funky. MiniMyo is the junior label of Myolee, and its quirky knitwear is just kitsch enough to be cool.

Sew Heart Felt will be showing their slippers, made from Tibetan lambswool. They look so sweet and cozy.

I’m predicting French label Eva Koshka’s stand will be one of the most popular, with its eye-catching prints on pretty dresses hard to resist.

While we in the southern hemisphere look down the barrel of a long winter, we can but dream of the summer ahead. The stunning Spanish swimwear of MiniDUNADU is some of the freshest I’ve seen, and makes me long for some fun in the sun.

I’ll finish with a rather ingenious US label, which has finally given the humble press stud a revamp. Magnificent Baby clothing uses magnetic fasteners – how smart is that?! We hope we’ve whet your appetite for this amazing trade event – stay tuned for our Bubble London coverage.
