Dress Up Attack kids music festival hits Sydney and Brisbane

Dust off your dinosaur costume, primp your best princess dress, because Dress Up Attack is coming back to Sydney and Brisbane, with more music, art, and ice cream than you can shake a glittery wand at.

Dress Up Attack Kimya

Dress Up Attack will be ringing in spring on 10 September, 2016 in Brisbane and 17 September, 2016 in Sydney. The festival program is packed with jamming good musicians like Kimya Dawson (of Grammy award-winning Juno soundtrack fame), as well as 90s power-pop band Custard, Benny TimeBunny Racket, and folk darling Angie Who.

Dress Up Attack Paint what you heard

There are also brilliant workshops and activities including Paint What You Hear, a messy, free expression session that might find your Elsa dress more paint-spattered than blue, so bring a smock or change of clothes. Awesome People Reading Books will take the stage to entertain kids with all kinds of weird and wonderful personalities reading favourite kids’ books.

There’s also the Dad Joke Bar which you’ll find crowded with dads cracking each other up and taking note of great puns to use later. You’ll find mums and kids off at the gelato Messina stall digging into some dulce de leche gelato and rolling their eyes.

There’s plenty more fun to be had, but you’ll have to go to the Sydney or Brisbane festivals to see it all. Moshtix is selling early bird tickets now – $25 for a single and $94 for a family of four.
