We know that Babyologists love a good book about building!
Pop-up and paper engineering genius, David A. Carter has just released the latest in his ‘Bugs’ series and I think this one is my favourite to date.
Builder Bugs takes Carter’s trademark critters and puts them through the building process over the course of a week. Anyone who has built or renovated a house knows there’s more to it than just the actual construction – enter the ‘Planner Bug’, the ‘Engineer Bug’, the ‘Architect Bug’ and so on, until the week’s work ends with the ‘Painter Bug’ who adds a splash of colour to the finished construction.

The detail and pop-up features are stunning – you will have to restrain little hands from crushing the bugs’ careful creation! That said, it is sure to be a book that is read over and over by building enthusiasts.
For more books with a building theme see our previous posts on Iggy Peck, Architect; Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site; Who Made This Cake?; and The Three Little Pigs – An Architectural Tale.
Builder Bugs is suitable for children aged two years and over. Find Builder Bugs and other books in the Bugs series at Book Depository. Book Depository ship free to Australia.
