In the 1940’s when Charles and Ray Eames designed a row of hooks featuring brightly coloured spheres, their theory was that the use of colour would encourage children to hang up their own things.
I’d be happy to test their theory in my house with the stunning Eames Hang it All. This gorgeous addition to any household has just arrived in Australia and is available from Bebe.
The Eames Hang it All is practical and strong and would make a great addition to a child’s room or the hallway. Featuring a white powder-coated steel frame and colourful wooden hooks painted in nine bright colours, the Hang it All is a fabulous designer alternative to standard coat hooks.
As the distance between the hooks always remains the same, the Hang it All can be extended as required, by mounting several end to end for oodles of hanging space – my kids seem to have so much stuff that I could certainly do with a few!
The Eames Hang it All is $259.95 (plus postage) and is available in Australia from Bebe.

I have been wanting this for years! I can’t believe they’re finally in Australia.
I am obsessed with mid-century design…and have been debating whether to get a Hang-it-All for a while now. They have always been available through Living Edge in Australia (www.livingedge.com.au) and through Designcraft in Canberra (where I am).
