Actors Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are expecting their first baby

Celebrity oracle, US Weekly, have just revealed actor Kirsten Dunst and her fiancé, fellow actor and Fargo co-star, Jesse Plemons, are expecting their first child.

“That’s what I want”

“A source reveals that the 35-year-old actress and fiancé Jesse Plemons are expecting their first child,” US Weekly reports.

It seems this lovely news has been quite a long time coming. Earlier this year, in June, Kirsten spoke to Marie Claire about her desire to shift the focus of her life to family.

After gracing our screens since she was just three years old, she told the magazine “it’s time to have babies and chill.”

This new push for a different life has come a surprise to the Spiderman star.

“I wasn’t one of those ‘I need a baby!’ people until my goddaughter was born,” Kirsten explained.

“I love her so much. That love is just like … you can’t experience that unless you have a kid. I put her to bed last night and she woke up this morning and said to her mom, ‘Where’s Kiki?’ I just love that love. That’s what I want.”

It’s not the first time she’s shared similar feelings. Back in 2015, when she was still with former boyfriend, Garrett Hedlund, she again told The Guardian starting a family was top of mind.

“That’s what I want. I’m not going to mess around, you know what I mean? So, yes. That’s the goal.”

Prepping the nest

She’d also recently told the Sunday Times she was feathering her nest, preparing for this brand new phase.

“The focus in my life is… Well, I’m redoing a house. I have other things I’m enjoying and I’ve been working since I was three,” she said.

“I’m a homebody. I’m trying to make it all happen. The movie industry isn’t everything to me at all.  I’m in a place now where I do want to direct, but I more want to have a family.”

It seems that the timing and partner were a little off back then. She went on to star with, date and become engaged to Fargo co-star Jesse and the rest, as they say, is history!

“It’s amazing”

Kirsten told People Magazine there are some excellent benefits to working with your fiancé.

“The best part is having time off. With our job you can work three months intensely, and then you have a lot of time to do whatever you want to do.”

Of her engagement, which reportedly happened late last year, she said; “If you find the right person, it’s amazing.” She’s in no rush to plan their wedding, preferring a more plodding approach.

“I’m very relaxed when it comes to those kinds of things. I’m going to get married at some point!”

They’re due to wed in the spring of 2018, with Kristen’s friends, and designers for Rodarte, charged with creating the wedding dress.

Rodarte’s Kate Mulleavy, said “I can’t imagine not doing it!” Her designer-sister Laura added,“We hopefully will get inspiration and figure it out.”

Self-described homebody Kirsten’s been trying to sell her New York loft since the beginning of the year, perhaps keen to spend more time closer to her family’s LA home instead.  You can sneak a peek at her Soho digs, where she’s lived for the last 10 years, below. It’s up for rent for $12,500/month, until it sells.
