Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and his model fiancé Georgina Rodriguez have split the baby-naming duties down the middle, with a slight advantage to Ronaldo (as is often the sporting case).

The pair shared their cute news on the weekend, going live on Instagram Stories to reveal they’re expecting a baby girl and her name will be … Alana Martina.
“I chose the first name and Gio the second,” Cristiano explained. “The name of my daughter will be Alana Martina.”
“I just want to share this with you,” he told fans. “I think it’s a beautiful name.”
Georgina (Gio!) is thought to be due to deliver the pair’s first baby together some time in November.
This reveal was a big surprise for fans, as Cristiano is usually quite reluctant to share details of his family life. He’s already dad to 7-year-old Cristiano Junior and 4-month-old twins, apparently named Mateo and Eva (there’s been no official name reveal for the twins, as yet).
The couple first met at a Madrid party for Dolce & Gabbana around a year ago, with the twins – born via surrogate – arriving a few months later.
Media outlet El Mundo were the first to officially confirm this fourth child’s imminent arrival. They asked Cristiano if he was excited to be welcoming another little life to the family and the Real Madrid star’s response was,“Yes, very much.”
As chatter swirled about Georgina’s blooming bump, openly documented on Instagram, El Mundo also quizzed Cristiano on his new baby twins. His response was similarly enthusiastic – “They are precious. I am delighted. I’m happy!”
Of course Georgina is equally thrilled about welcoming her first child very, very soon.
“I’m very family oriented, I love kids, nature and animals,” she told Spanish magazine ¡Hola!
“I like to surround myself with those who inspire me to be a better person every day and who have good energy,” Georgina said.
One look at the pairs’ (adorable!) Instagram accounts certainly confirms how family-oriented these guys are. We can’t wait to share in their newborn news, when the time is right!
