Blake Lively roasts Ryan: “I’ve been so lonely since Ashley Madison closed”

Most couples send romantic cards or gifts to each other on Valentine’s Day – but not Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Hilariously trolling each other on social media is what keeps the magic alive for these two, and we’re enjoying the show.

Candid couple

Ryan and Blake are well known for their cheeky banter on social media, and after they entered the world of parenting their exchanges have only increased in hilarity. Between making movies, travelling and attending fashion shows, these two are parenting two little girls (and have plans to add to their brood hopefully in the near future), two-year-old James and one-year-old Ines.

While they do their very best to keep their kids out of the public eye, they happily post candidly written tidbits from their experiences as parents on social media. But then they went and roasted each other on the most celebrated couple day of the year and it all got a little too much for most to handle. The cuteness that is.

Ten minutes in to writing an email to my mom, when I realized there was no phone in my hand.

It started with a photo

The 41-year-old Deadpool star posted a snap of himself at the gym on Wednesday using an imaginary phone with the witty caption: “Ten minutes in to writing an email to my mom, when I realized there was no phone in my hand.”

It didn’t take long for his equally funny wife Blake to throw in her two cents worth with the comment: “Why won’t this damn app swipe right?!?!!” For the uninitiated, Blake is alluding to the Tinder dating app, and the swipe right function that means she is keen to connect with that spunk in the gym on his fake phone.

Rolling roast

Not one to shy away from some good troll action, the dad-of-two quickly replied to Blake’s cheeky comment with the quip: “Because it’s the E-Harmony app,” stirring the pot even more.

But the 30-year-old Gossip Girl star wasn’t quite done, hitting back with: “Can you show me how to download that? Ever since Ashley Madison closed I’ve been so lonely,” referring to the adult dating site which promotes infidelity.

We’re guessing this whole exchange just reminded Ryan of one of the (many) reasons he fell in love with his co-star-turned-wife, because he simply replied: “Awww. Happy Valentine’s Day.” We’re sure feeling the love.

From roasting to baking …

While the Instagram exchange is the couple’s attempt at downplaying all that mushy love stuff, Ryan’s Instagram post from earlier that day reveals a slightly more romantic side to the star. It seems he can bake as well as he roasts – at least judging by the photo of the heart-shaped cake he baked Blake for Valentine’s Day. But she might want to avoid eating the icing.

If we’re being honest, it’s Blake and Ryan’s world and we’re just living in it.
