Nutcase Helmets and Early Rider bike – safe and super-cool when out and about

It’s about time! Finally here are some ultra-groovy, super-cool skate and bike helmets for toddlers and kids, with designs that even I would wear. I’ve  often cringed at the offerings in helmets and even though they’re essential for safety, it never hurts to look funky when out and about on bikes and skates.

Nutcase helmets will adorn those precious heads with a helmet compliant with both Australian and international safety standards and in a range of designs to suit the fashion-conscious.

The ‘Little Nutty’ range caters to children from 0-5 years and features a handy Spin Dial system of adjustment which makes the fitting of each helmet simpler and more accurate. We’ve all struggled with those silly internal straps on helmets and it wouldn’t surprise me if this has led to many an ill-fitting helmet which may have jeopardised a child’s safety. This innovation, combined with the quality quick-release buckle and gorgeous designs, make the $99.95 price tag well and truly worth it. Any head over 52cm in diameter can handle a choice from the ‘Street Range’, with water and snow options also available.

Your little one needs something to get around on if she is to sport the latest and greatest in helmets! Fire up the pavements with the Early Rider bike, the perfect learner bike with attitude. With flame detailing along both sides of the bike, pneumatic tyres with aluminium rims, and a comfy seat pad, she can learn the art of balancing on a bike well before she graduates to pedals. The body is made from enviro-conscious birch and new colours of pink and blue are expected some time this year.  Grab one in natural for $299 plus freight from Early Rider.

  1. Hey this is a great find! The bike is one my list for my son’s bday.

Those helmets look great and I’m planning to get a Star Bright from the adults range to match my baby daughter. Beats those ill fitting things from Kmart!

    Thanks for the info.

  2. I was also amazing when I found these. I did the cool helmet search in Feb this year for my 3 year old and couldn’t find a lot out there and fell in love with these patterns and styles. They are super stylish!

  5. I tried to find the Early Rider. It looks like Early Rider are selling them direct now though. A few stores still have them, they are a nice bike but I’d like to see it up close. I’m not keen on buying from overseas shops. The earlyrider.com.au address doesn’t work anymore :(
