When I was shopping around for a nappy bag, I was disappointed by the lack of variety in Australia. I felt I either had a choice of boring basic, or lurid colours and patterns, and nothing in between.

I was excited to see the latest styles launched by JJ Cole Collections. The ‘Theory’ (above), $US79.95, is limited edition and available for sale between November 15 to December 15 so you’ve got to get in quick for Christmas. Looking like something out of a Ralph Lauren shoot, the ‘Theory’ comes in red, green, grey and red flower. It boasts a range of features, including a wide flexible opening and interior bottle pocket.

The ‘Theory’ is a nice classic bag certainly, but I particularly love the ‘Swag’ nappy bag, $US89.95 (below). For such a low price, you’ve got to admit it carries a lot of flair. For me, it has the ability to dress up any drab ‘hanging-out-in-the-park-with-a-coffee-again’ outfit. Available in Silver Drop, the ‘Swag’ has an adjustable shoulder strap and plenty of exterior pockets to hide a multitude of baby stuff. As with the Theory, the Swag is also PVC and phthalate-free. Unfortunately though, Christmas shoppers will miss out on this one as the availability date is currently touted as January 2010.
