iCandy is
a boutique British producer of very stylish strollers and prams. With
a similar minimalist style bucket seat to the Bugaboo range, they have
managed to come up with a most stylish tandem system,iCandy Pear, unlike anything I have seen before on four wheels.
Fully
convertible from a single (the iCandy Apple) to a double using the
adaptor frame, it offers countless combination options – put the seat
with the carry cot, two seats together, two carry cots together and mix
it up again by introducing the maxi-cosi car seat. Any of these 3
seating options can also be placed frontward or rearward or a
combination of both. What makes this one different from a lot of other
doubles on the market is the quality of chassis, the countless seating
options and that the bottom child is not too close to the ground. A
great idea if you’re just starting your family and planning on
expanding – use as a single now and purchase adaptor and additional
equipment as needed or a great starter if you have twins.
A
boutique manufacture, iCandy only sells through specialist retailers in
the UK - they want customers to have a personalised service and is
not yet available in Australia or online. The iCandy Pear will be
available in the UK from later this year. It is expected to retail for
around £479.99 for chassis and two seats. So if you have family or
friends in the UK, maybe it’s time to call in that favour...
