We’re cooking a few new babies right now at Babyology HQ, so a bit of babywearing is front and centre in our minds. Here’s a new sling we’ve found that’s comfortable, practical and beautiful.
It’s the Caboo Carrier from Close, and it’s made from organic, soft cotton jersey fabric in a range of beautiful, muted shades that look so snuggly! It can be used from birth (even with premmies) right through to fourteen kilos, and it’s easy to put on and off by yourself. Because the sling is totally adjustable, it will fit standard adult sizes of women’s size eight right through to size twenty (and men taller than six feet!). So there’s no worry if your own body shape jumps around a bit, or if your baby is tiny or enormous.
As far as wearing it is concerned, it’s a bit of a cross between a ring sling and a simple tie sling. It slips on over your head and the wide cotton straps distribute the baby’s weight evenly, preventing back strain for you, and providing plenty of support for your baby’s whole body. Of course, you can breastfeed your baby while wearing it too.
The local distributor is Oz Baby Trends, with an extensive list of Australian and New Zealand stockists on their website. To compare this sling with others we’ve reviewed in the past, check out our baby sling round up.

I have this carrier, and I absolutely adore it- it’s pretty versatile as to how you can wear your baby and you can get an all weather cover that clips on too. Definitely recommend!
