Here’s a clever concept to help turn childhood landmarks into a work of art.
It’s not always easy to remember those fleeting moments of childhood. My first son’s baby book is literally bursting with keepsakes, locks of hair and carefully written milestones and anecdotes. Cue “second child syndrome” for my subsequent boy, and his baby book is achingly bare. Mainly through lack of time, I’ve sadly let many of his “firsts” slip by without jotting down so much as a date. Perhaps if I had the means to quickly list these golden moments in time, I’d be much more likely to keep a record of my little boy’s early years. That’s where the idea of The Milestones Poster is pure genius.

The Milestones Poster is an interactive infographic for recording all of the precious and important moments in your baby’s first year, and beyond.

It’s bordered by growth rulers, to keep track of your child’s height and weight – and in the main body of the poster you’ll find a creatively designed world of graphics and charts to write on and personalise. The poster comes with fabric stickers to record everything from your child’s hair style to food preferences.
It’s also incredibly eco-friendly – printed on FSC certified, carbon neutral Mohawk Loop Feltmark paper, using soy inks.

So here’s the catch – this fabulous poster is not yet available. The brains behind The Milestones Poster, US-based StrangeBirdyStudios, have listed it as a Kickstarter project. In essence, Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. In order for StrangeBirdyStudios to get The Milestones Poster on the market, they need to drum up support in the form of cash pledges. We’re certainly hoping this great idea has the chance to become a reality.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for the nice post on my product. Just to clarify, it is going to available soon and I’m not sure where anyone got the impression it would retail for $150–that’s not true. There will be two versions, one without stickers and one with the stickers and retail price will range from around $45-$65.
The kickstarter is no longer available but we’ll soon be accepting pre-sale orders. Thanks for the great post!
