As someone who is currently trying to sew a cushion in the shape of an owl (note: I said TRY), I can appreciate the time and effort that goes into a decorative piece for the bed or couch.

I’ve got to admit the owl isn’t very original (although perhaps by the time I’m done, it will be) so I’m loving these Birth Lane House Pillows by Olive on Etsy.

Made from a heavy cotton base, the cushion is adorned with a ‘roof’ made of a vintage inspired floral print, while felt is used to create windows and doors. It even features a fabric covered button serving as a doorknob.

Each cushion ($US55) measures 12×16 inches and is hand-filled with cluster-free polyfil.
