I’m a proud member of Cushion Fanatics (that actually just means I have a whole Pinterest board devoted to cushions). I own more cushions than I’ll ever be able to conceivably sit on. Why the obsession with cushions? I think it’s because they’re a simple way to change the look of a couch, a bed or even a whole room – new colours and gorgeous fabrics are all part of the appeal. It also means I can have a little bit of lots of designers that I love. Needless to say, when I discovered these beauties, it was cushion-love-at-first-sight.

Beneath The Sun is the debut homewares collection of New South Wales designer Leah Bartholomew. The bright, gelato colours and bold graphic prints burst with fun and happiness.

I began my browse through the collection with the stunning cushions and pillowcases – the ‘Papercraft’ prints, inspired by paper collage, and the pastel rainbow print would look fantastic in a child’s room. Team the cushions with co-ordinating polka-dot pillow cases and some of the amazing ‘wooden objects’ (decor pieces that also work very nicely as bookends).

The entire collection has a freshness and a cross-generational appeal that is rare.

While you’re at Beneath the Sun, also check out Bartholomew’s beautiful stationery range, art prints and ceramics.

Cushions are priced from $60, pillowcases are $40 each and wooden objects begin at $35 for a single object or from $210 for a complete co-ordinated set. Beneath the Sun deliver worldwide.
