“Oh my, what a breath of fresh air” were the words I muttered to myself when I first saw these lively and utterly unique lights. To have such diverse options for our homes and our little one’s bedrooms is inspiring and we’re living through some exciting times for children’s design.
And Brooklyn based Acme World Zoo is at the forefront with their adorable Kütelight creations. Using silhouettes of vintage animal shapes discovered in an industrial bin 19 years ago, they have created a light design that is both original and beautiful.
Made in the US and designed to hang on the wall, the Kütelights would look fantastic in a kid’s bedroom (two or three lined up would make a statement!) or even in the kitchen or living room as a funky design piece. Each animal comes in three different colours: classic and pure white Angel; Candy with a sprinkling of colour; and full technicolour Crayon. The lights are made from powder coated recyclable metal with energy efficient fluorescent bulbs and are child-safe.
