Korean-born artist Amy Sol's dreamy, whimsical artwork would make an amazing feature for any child's room.  Based in Las Vegas, Amy Sol paints largely on timber, with pigments that she mixes herself.  Her work is influenced by Manga, folk-art, vintage illustration and modern design.

Recently in Sydney for the Semi Permanent design conference, her original work as well as her prints are currently completely sold out.  Fortunately you can subscribe to her website via RSS or email to receive updates on new shows and releases.

Elephant Blackboard Sticker - Let them draw on the walls E-mail

Want to avoid all those kiddy wall drawings on immaculate paint work? This is the way kids can draw to their heart's content without testing parent's patience and ruining painstakingly decorated homes.

The Elephant Blackboard Sticker by Coco Boheme, can be removed and repositioned so that kids have a ready-made canvas in any room in the house.  An added advantage, especially for those of us living in small urban spaces, is that it doesn't take up any floor space like an easel or storage space like a Magnadoodle or an Etch-a-Sketch.

The scale of this extra-large elephant will delight your toddler, who is probably much smaller! Lots of fun will be had scribbling and drawing all over it and they can practice tracing the outline in preparation for doing the same with numbers and letters.

Coco Boheme was started by Catherine Fouchard, a graphic designer, and Christian Mégevand, a set designer, and they have pooled their know-how to create the brand which was born 4 years ago. The website is all in French but worth a look as the images are lovely.

$97 from Monkey Caboose who offer free gift wrap on all purchases as well as free postage and a free gift for all orders $50 and over.  You can't complain about that for a bonus!

Bookhou Mobile - baby's peaceful view E-mail

Peace within a home is equally as important as vibrancy - it's all about knowing when and where to cultivate them. When you live in a hectic city like we do, it's nice to come home and zone out from the cacophony of urban sights and sounds.

The soft abstract form of this beautiful Bookhou Flock Mobile will entrance baby and adult alike with its peaceful ambience. Made from maple veneer, and laminated by hand, the birds are all slightly different in size and shape. Amuse baby by batting them gently to see them glide up and down, and around.

After the children have grown up, the Flock Mobile will remain a gentle presence in your home. It's another product seeking longevity with its owners by not being child-specific. It's for anyone and everyone to enjoy! I also love Bookhou's children's apparel featuring line drawings of animals. Unique bedding is also available for those seeking a homely yet refined look for the nursery.

Bookhou Design will ship to Australia. Mobiles are CAD$150.

dwellbaby
was one of the stand out brands from Kids inSTYLE this year. We all love dwell products and its very exciting to hear they are expanding their range available in Australia.

Part of the range at the show included some new towel designs, fuscia dot, carousel, transportation, and gioboy, all very colourful and soft.  Another item we loved was the new trasportation bedding. What fun bedding to brighten up a boys room.

These new towels and bedding as well as some new cashmere silk blankets and nappy bags will be available in stores very soon.

Barbapapa Lamps are undeniably likeable. These glowing friends will warm the cockles of your heart with their big expectant eyes, sweet hands and gorgeous soft colours. Those who grew up in the 1970s may remember the much-loved books and tv show 'Barbapapa' a French animated series (translated into many languages) about a blobby creature trying to fit into human society. He eventually finds a female member of his species and together they have 'seven turbulent children' each with their own cute names such as Barbabelle and Barbabeau. The Barbapapas are always kind and gentle, and are brilliant problem-solvers - what better influence to have in your home!

Set a subtle mood in children's rooms, calm their night fears and spend happy bedtimes making up stories about the adventures of Barbapapa. Available in white, red, blue, pink and yellow and measuring 45cm, your whole family will fall in love with the ethereal cuteness of their new companion.

made in design will ship these express in 2-4 days.
