Oh hurrah! The good folk at Disney/Pixar know everyone is busting to see Frozen 2, so they’re set to release an all new Frozen-themed short film to tide frosty fans over. It seems they just could not let it go. (See what we did there?!)
The 21 minute film, due to be screened before the latest Disney/Pixar release Coco, sees the return of a bunch of original cast members – think Kristen Bell as Anna, Josh Gad as Olaf, Jonathan Groff playing Kristoff and Idina Menzel as Elsa, to name but a few – as they embark on the kind of exciting new adventure that Frozen fans will go nuts for.
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure continues the Frozen story as punters wait for the next full-length instalment to drop. Obviously they’re using this short film as an incentive to get fans along to the (also) musical Mexican-themed animation Coco, but that seems like it’ll be a fun thing to watch, so we’re not too miffed about the carrot-dangling. (See trailer below!)
“The best tradition”
As we told you recently, Frozen 2 has an offical release date of November 27, 2019 and is returning to our screens with all the usual suspects.
However it’s a very, VERY long way off – especially for little Frozen enthusiasts. We are super-glad that the studios are making the wait a little less excruciating with a Frozen teaser.
The trailer shows Olaf exploring Christmas-time and discovering family traditions – in the hope of creating a special tradition for Elsa and Anna, who have none of their own.
“We’re going to find the best tradition Elsa and Anna have ever seen!” trills Olaf as he embarks on a journey to help his favourite girls get the most out of the festive season.
We can’t wait to find out more!

Coming very soon!
“This new featurette will open in US theatres in front of
#PixarCoco beginning November 22,” Disney confirmed via Twitter.
No word yet on the Australian release date, but we have our ears firmly to the ground and will spill the beans when we know. We’re guessing it will be around the same time, owing to the seasonal nature of the film.
Are you excited for this unexpected little dose of Frozen?!
