In today’s missive from the world of celebrity children, Hilary Duff’s little boy Luca taught his tiny cousin some fancy new tricks.
Haylie Duff – Hilary’s older sister – posted a cute update sharing the story and it’s proof that cousins are the kind of lovable almost-siblings that make perfect partners-in-crime.
“This is AFTER Luca taught her to scale to the top of @hilaryduff car! These like cousins are gonna be trouble #HerIdol #WantsToBeJustLikeHim,” Haylie revealed alongside the cute shot – which also revealed Lizzie Mcguire has a pretty fancy car.
Hilary posted the same photo, apologetically captioned thus:
“Cousins stick together. Dubs trubs @haylieduff I’m apologizing on Luca’s behalf for teaching that angel of yours that it’s cool to climb on cars 😳”
Hilary – who is currently starring in Younger (watch it in Australia on Stan!) – is three years younger than her sister Haylie, also a successful actress (you might have seen her in 7th Heaven or Napoleon Dynamite?)
This talented pair seem to spend a lot of time together, and having little kids at the same time just adds to the fun.
Hilary is mum to 5-year-old Luca, her son from her marriage to Mike Comrie. The couple are now divorced. Haylie and fiance Matt Rosenberg have one child together, 2-year-old Ryan.
Hilary chatted to eOnline after her niece Ryan’s birth, saying she was super proud of her sister and that the was a really great mum. She also revealed that Haylie sometimes calls her in as a baby-wrapping reinforcement.
“She’s doing great and I’m so proud of her. She’s really a natural mom. I’ve been there a lot. I give a mean swaddle so [Haylie’s] always calling me like, ‘Come over here! Give this baby a swaddle,'” Hilary said.
No kids policy
While the sisters are happy to snap and share candid shots of their kids, Hilary particularly has been vocal in her disapproval of paparazzi photographing celebrity kids.
With other celebrity parents, she helped push for changes in the law that make the harassment of the children of celebrities punishable by law.
When the paps targeted then 2-year-old Luca on a trip to the park, a furious Hilary later tweeted:
“Without my consent this IS AGAINST THE LAW! I chose to let them off with a stern warning, next time I will not be so nice.”
