The rockstar mum of two has just given us another reason to raise our glasses in mum-solidarity with a hilarious new #pumpupthejams selfie showing her expressing breast milk while on tour in the UK this week.
Pink (aka Alecia Moore) posted the candid photo of herself to Instagram on Wednesday – in full concert hair and make-up no less! – doing a double breast milk express in front of the mirror.
“And now this #pumpupthejams #mombreak” – the singer hilariously captioned the pic.
We love that the 37-year-old mum keeps the working mum juggle photos coming in her Instagram feed because even celebrity mums have to hit the pause button every now and then to take care of baby business and it is nice to know we’re not the only ones doing our best to fit it all in.
Keeping it real
While many of us aren’t in a private dressing room on tour while we’re pumping, expressing milk is still no easy task and we take our hats off to Pink for not only keeping at it this long (her son Jameson is eight months), but also showing the reality of what it’s like to be a working mum. It appears that mothers everywhere are digging it as well.
“You go mama! Such an amazing lady! And great inspiration,” wrote one follower.
“I love you! Keeping it real,” wrote another.
With hundreds of thousands of likes and comments, Pink’s snap has obviously made mums everywhere (particularly those working or expressing), feel more normal too.
“Thank you so much for posting this! As a fellow working/pumping mom I love to see others doing the same. Seeing you do it keeps me motivated,” gushed another fellow working mama.
This isn’t the first time the famous singer has showcased her motherhood duties either, with photos of herself proudly breastfeeding both her children appearing on her social media accounts over the years (Pink and her husband Carey Hart also have a six-year-old daughter named Willow).
In fact, her most recent snap of Jameson tucking into a feed, ridiculously caused quite a stir last month. But the breastfeeding shamers were silenced by Pink’s fans who love that she uses her celebrity status to normalise everyday mum tasks.
We love your work Pink! You truly are an inspiration to mamas everywhere. And now – here’s the real jam to get your toes tapping this Friday. You’re welcome.
What’s the craziest place you’ve ever had to express breast milk?
