New members of the babyology Team

Every day you read about amazing and unique products we find for you from all over the world. We have a few new faces here at Babyology and we wanted to let you know a little more about some of our fantastic team members who bring you this information daily!

Vanessa is a Mother of one (plus one on the way in a few weeks).
Vanessa joined the Babyology team as sub-editor. A believer in
work-life balance, Vanessa divides her time between play dates with her
daughter, and her part-time job at Canon. With almost ten years
experience writing, editing and reviewing websites, Vanessa is
passionate about all things web. With a keen eye for grammar and
punctuation, she brings this, as well as her proof-reading and editing
skills, to the Babyology crew. Since becoming a mum, Vanessa is an avid
reader of parenting and child resources on the web. Vanessa loves
working at Babyology as it gives her a first-hand glance at the
exciting new products being reviewed. And with another baby on the way,
itÌs not just her tummy that’s growing – her list of must-haves for
newborns is also ever-expanding!

Suzi has been based in Sydney for the last 10 years,
Suzi started off with a Communications degree, majoring in Photography.
Retraining as a teacher 5 years ago, Suzi has rekindled a passion for
writing – something she explored in her first degree as well as various
creative writing courses. With the birth of her first son in early
2005, she became pram obsessed, and with her interest in mid-century
design, came an awareness of beautifully designed baby products -
retro-modern is her thing. She relishes the challenge of finding
clothes and products for boys that diverge from the usual. In October
2007 Suzi welcomed another baby son.

Nikki was a hard-nosed news
reporter who turned all mushy on the inside after the birth of her son
almost four years ago. After becoming a mum for the second time late
last year, she realised that spending time hunting down amazing toys
and hip clothes for her children was much safer (and infinitely more
fun) than chasing criminals and other shady types outside court. A
newspaper journalist for 14 years, she lives in a toy-infested old
house in inner Melbourne with her photographer husband, their
train-obsessed son, babycino-addicted daughter and the family dog.

Katrina
is mum to four kids under the age of six. Whilst she has always enjoyed
beautiful design (particularly the sleek lines of Art Deco furniture),
it wasn’t until she had children that the need for things that were
aesthetically pleasing and functional and practical became an
obsession. Admittedly, this interest in children’s design resulted in
an expensive habit – imported parenting magazines – bought for the
sections on the newest, coolest stuff (as opposed to the ìToilet
Training without Tearsî articles). Underpinning her life
experience, her ridiculous investment in parenting glossies and the
thousands of hours spent browsing the Net, Katrina has a background in
both Planning & Design and Communications.

Alexis together with her husband lives in rural South Australia with
her three children aged 9, 6 and 2 keeping her on her toes. Being a
stay at home mum in a small country town, her quest for cool finds for
kids is made only more rigorous by the fact that the world is at her
fingertips via her keyboard and access to the internet. Alexis is one
mum that’s keen to break the ‘country kid’ mould and prove that kids
that are from the country can be stylish too!
