Chrissy Teigen just appeared on an episode of The Rachael Ray Show – which will be aired today – making cocktails and spilling the beans on the things her cute toddler Luna likes to eat. Spoiler alert: beans are NOT one of the things Luna likes to eat. Uh-uh. Nope.
Beans means nope
On the block party-themed program, Chrissy discussed the tricky task of trying to feed Luna her daily greens, ET Online reports. It seems that Luna really loves her food, she just doesn’t love it from her MUM so much…
“She will not eat my pure food. If I try to steam green beans and puree them, she will not eat that,” Chrissy said.
She’s the kind of baby that loves those little sacks. The little squeeze-y sack things that go right in her mouth.”
Apparently Luna prefers her meals carb loaded – and cooked by her grandma, thank you very much.
“She loves my mom’s scalloped potatoes,” Chrissy told Rachael, noting that she actually likes most things other people cook.
“She loves real food, but she will NOT eat my own food, which kind of breaks my heart.”
Any parent whose spent hours meal prepping healthy food for their child will relate to Chrissy’s woes.
“I take it personally!” she said. We feel your feels, CT, although it must be an extra painful rejection when you are a published cookbook author and your kid won’t eat your food. Ouch.
Rachael helpfully points out that Chrissy’s husband is quite the picky eater.
“John is the worst [eater] and now my own baby girl!” Chrissy says mournfully.
In a plot twist that won’t surprise any mother, Chrissy said that Luna will sample any old thing her husband John Legend feeds their daughter.
“If John feeds her, she’ll be like ‘Dada! Dada!’ and she’ll eat anything!” Chrissy said.
“Moms, you know there is just no getting around it. They just love their daddy.”
Eating between meals is a Luna-favoured thing. Chrissy said that her kiddo enjoys foods in squeeze-y packages and other baby-friendly snacks.
